Author and Illustrator, Monica Wellington has been writing children's books for years, all based on a similar theme: people at work. Apple Farmer Annie, Firefighter Frank and Mr. Cookie Baker all lead interesting and exciting lives like Sally who makes pizza!
The book follows Sally on a normal daily routine. Through bold, colorful pictures and easy-to-read words, Wellington shows us how Sally creates her own pizzas. We find out that Sally grows her very own vegetable garden, of which she uses for her pizzas.
What's even cooler is that Wellington adds an easy pizza recipe for the kids to bake along with Sally! What an awesome idea, while learning to read children can also learn to follow instructions and bake their own pizza. I am in awe of this book-it's embarrassing a little bit.
I must say, I want to buy this book and check out all of her other one's as well! Check out her website, http://monicawellington.com/, and tell me which of her books you would buy. E-mail any questions or comments to sally.k.dwyer@gmail.com Ciao!
